Dear family, friends, and kind strangers,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the story of my dear friend Alison (Swan) Huttner and her precious 3-year-old son, Leonard. Last week, Alison’s world was shattered when her beloved husband, Matt Huttner, passed away unexpectedly from cancer. Many of you have heard of Matt’s sudden battle with cancer. What started as a trip to the ER, quickly turned into a nightmare diagnosis, and despite fighting with every ounce of strength he had, Matt left us far too soon at the age of 43.

Matt was the rock of their family—a devoted husband, an incredible father, and a hardworking provider who always put his loved ones first. He and Alison had built a beautiful life together, filled with laughter, adventures, and dreams for the future. Leonard, their energetic little boy with his dad’s infectious smile, adored his father. They shared special moments like bedtime snuggles, park outings, and of course, a love of music. Now, Alison is left to navigate this unimaginable grief while single-handedly raising Leonard, all while dealing with the sudden financial burdens that come with such a loss.

As many of you know, Matt was the primary income provider for their family, enabling Alison to focus on providing Leonard with a loving and nurturing home to grow. Without this income, she is facing remaining medical bills, funeral expenses, housing expenses, and the everyday costs of raising a young child. Leonard deserves to grow up in a stable home, with opportunities for preschool, activities, and the security his dad would have wanted for him. My friend, Alison, is strong and determined, but right now, she needs our help to get through this dark time without the added stress of financial hardship.

That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe campaign—to rally around Alison and Leonard, and to provide them with the support they so desperately need. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward:

• Covering funeral and memorial costs to give Matt the send-off he deserves.

• Paying off remaining medical bills from his treatment.

• Helping with monthly living expenses, including rent, utilities, and groceries.

• Setting up a fund for Leonards future education and well-being.
