Hello!

My name is AJ, and I am the father of a brilliant young man: Jordan.

I don’t usually make posts like this, but I’m at a point in my life where I could genuinely use the support of my community.

These past few months have been some of the hardest I’ve ever faced. I’ve been navigating intense challenges, trying to stay grounded, protect the people I love, and make thoughtful decisions in situations that have no easy answers. It’s been emotionally exhausting, confusing at times, and a chapter I never expected to walk through.

To make sure Jordan has the support, protection, and stability he deserves, I’ve invested heavily into therapy and legal services: my savings, stocks, even taking out a $15k loan using my car as collateral. I’ve been doing everything humanly possible to carry this on my own.

Recently, I learned that the financial demands of the months ahead would be even greater than expected. I immediately started looking into pulling from my 401k just to keep things moving.

But someone close to me stopped me and reminded me that I don’t have to fight this battle alone: there are hundreds of people whose lives I’ve touched, people who have laughed with me, supported me, encouraged me, or found joy in the posts. They reminded me that it’s okay to ask for help.

So here I am: reaching out, humbly, and asking:

If I have ever brought value, positivity, encouragement, support, or hope into your life… would you consider supporting Jordan and I through this difficult time?

No matter what, I will do whatever it takes to make sure my son is safe. That part is unwavering.

My immediate goal is to raise $20,000 so I can outright pay off the first loan and continue covering the legal and therapeutic support Jordan needs. Based on the months ahead, the total is likely closer to $50,000.
