Supporting Aimee Camp's Next Journey
Donation protected
Aimee and Jay have been married since 2008 and have three beautiful daughters Cailyn (12) Alyssa (10) and McKenna (8). They’ve been loving, doting parents to all their girls and have given extra care to their eldest Cailyn, who is non verbal and autistic. Growing up in the Chicago area, Aimee always dreamed of warmer winters and more sunshine. In the summer of 2021, Aimee and Jay took the leap and moved to Southern California to start a new life. But, just two weeks after their drive west, their dream turned into a nightmare when Aimee was diagnosed with an incurable Stage 4 liver bile duct cancer.
Aimee did not let the diagnosis keep her from her dreams and enjoy Southern California with her family and friends all while bravely fighting cancer. She has worked with an amazing array of doctors who have provided excellent care and gave her many treatment options. Aimee has fought with extreme courage and enormous toughness, enduring excruciating pain and horrible side effects, as she kept trying the various treatments to slow the tumors’ growth. Unfortunately, the current treatments will no longer be an option. Aimee will now turn to 24/7 home healthcare, alternative medicine options, and focus on quality of life.
Over the next few months, Aimee would like her girls to have the best memories with their mom and experience this next chapter with as much love and light as possible. In addition to exploring 24/7 care and alternative medicine, her wish is to rent a second home near the ocean and hospital - that will serve as her oasis - to spend as much time with her friends and family as possible.
Jay and Aimee have appreciated the outpouring of love and support received from their family, friends from home, new neighbors, coworkers, and numerous acquaintances and strangers. Many have asked how they might support the family. First, we ask for continued prayers and love for Aimee. We also started this GoFundMe with all proceeds going directly to the Camps for Aimee’s final care and the continued care of their children. A contribution in any amount is a generous gift because we know it comes with love for Aimee, Jay and the girls.
It’s important to understand that all messages submitted through this GoFundMe will be received and read by Aimee and it will be very hard for her to manage direct communication during these times. The best way to reach out will be through the message board provided. Thank you so much for all your love and support.
