I’m organising this fundraiser on behalf of a family who are facing an incredibly challenging time as they care for their newborn baby girl.

During pregnancy, they learned that their daughter had a rare condition called a cloacal anomaly. They prepared themselves as best they could, but her birth was far more complicated than anyone expected. She needed immediate help in her first moments, and thanks to the incredible medical team, the power of prayer, and her own quiet strength, she stabilised and has been fighting ever since. She is truly a little miracle.

She is now in the NICU in Cambridge, receiving specialist care. She is stable, but there is a long journey ahead, including planned surgeries and ongoing treatment in Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Her mum travels by train from Peterborough to Cambridge, soon to London, every weekday to be by her side — talking to her, holding her, and making sure she always feels loved. Over the weekend, the whole family travels by car so they can spend time together with their little one. Their two young boys are in childcare to keep their routine steady, and dad is working to support the family while carrying the emotional weight of everything happening at home and in the hospital.

The costs of weekday train travel, weekend car journeys, childcare, and essential living expenses are becoming overwhelming, and this is where we can help.

This fundraiser will support the family with:

-Daily train travel costs from Peterborough to Cambridge so Mum can stay close to the baby

-Weekend car travel for the family to spend time together with their little one

-Childcare for the two young brothers, helping keep their routine stable

-Essential expenses that allow both parents to stay present for all their children during this difficult time

Even the smallest bit of support would make a meaningful difference for them right now.
