Hi, my name is Sunny Harrison.
I’m a mom of nine, a caregiver, and someone who has spent her entire life showing up for others — veterans, seniors, families in crisis, anyone who needed a safe place to land. Asking for help has never been easy for me… but right now, our family is holding on by a thread.
One of our children — who is autistic and deeply vulnerable — is in serious legal trouble out of state.
My husband, David, has had to travel to Texas to be by his side because our son cannot navigate this alone. The emotional and financial strain has been heavier than we ever imagined. We are terrified — not only for the outcome of the case, but for what this means for our family’s future.
We’ve already emptied our savings to secure a lawyer, but the remaining legal fees, travel costs, and living expenses are more than we can carry. And now… the weight is beginning to break us.
We are behind on bills. We are falling behind on our mortgage.
And the truth is, if we cannot cover these legal and travel costs soon, we’re at risk of losing our home — the place where our children feel safe, the place we have built our lives.
While David is supporting our son, I am home caring for the rest of our children and recovering from my own health challenges. We’re doing everything we can, but we simply cannot fight this battle alone.
We’re asking for donations to help with:
Remaining legal fees
Travel and lodging for David to stay near our son
Basic household expenses so we don’t fall further behind
Protecting our home during this crisis
Any amount — even a few dollars — is a lifeline right now.
Your help means stability. It means safety. It means we can keep our home while fighting for our child’s future.
Thank you for reading this, for your compassion, and for helping us hold our family together through the hardest chapter of our lives.
With love,
The Harrison Family
