Next April I will be spending 2 week volunteering in a charity run school in Kenya. The school is seeing increased numbers of children with special educational needs both physical and mental. My hope is to take both resources and experience with me to support staff with bettering the education for these students.

Melon Mission School is a haven for over 400

orphans, destitute and vulnerable children in the

Kwa Rhoda rural slum area of Nakuru, Kenya. They

provide their pupils with love, food, clothing,

education and health / social care. Melon Mission

serves all children, regardless of their religion, race,

ethnicity, or gender. The school relies solely on

charitable donations to operate, to feed the children

and to help pupils to reach their potential.
