Our Story

My name is Katy, I have 3 children of my own and 25 beautiful children in the town of Mityana, Uganda, also call me “Mummy Katy.”

These children are orphans. They have absolutely nothing - no parents and no possessions.

But they do have two things that matter deeply: a young man named Robert, who was once in their shoes - growing up on the streets of Mityana, who now raises them like his own children. And me, doing everything I can to make sure they are fed, educated, and never feel forgotten.

Every week, I provide them with as much food as I can - maize, beans, and porridge. But it’s never quite enough. Also medicine when it’s needed on occasion.

My mission is to increase the quantity and quality of food I can give them each week - so every child is full, healthy, and growing strong.

They go to school but only if we can afford it. The children attend school when we can pay for:

Uniforms

Books, pencils, and notebooks

School bags and shoes

When we can’t, they have to stay home. No child should miss an education for lack of a pencil.

‍Robert’s Commitment:

Robert isn’t just helping, he is raising the children. He has promised to care for them for life - unless they are adopted or safely placed, they are his children.

He does manual labor in gardens to cover rent for their small shared home. He gives them structure and safety. This isn’t a temporary shelter. It’s a family.
