Hi all!

Olivia here, I’m calling out to the village for help because I cannot do this alone right now. I have been trying!

I uprooted my whole life and moved from Philadelphia down to rural Southern Georgia in October 2024 with my then fiancée. A month later I got a phone call from a DFCS investigator about my daughter, Hazel, who I gave up for adoption when she was 2 years old (I was 18 at the time). She was my whole world for those 2 years but I was very young and did not have the support I needed.

She was adopted by a couple in Atlanta, so her case exists here. I just so happened to already be in Georgia when I received that call, so I know that the Universe brought me here for a reason!!!

I was barred from being apart of her life very soon after her adoption, which was supposed to stay open. My daughter was then misled about the circumstances of her adoption the entire decade she was in their care, so needless to say I was thrilled to get an update on her and an opportunity to speak about it, but then the information I was given was troubling and heartbreaking.

Her adopted parents gave her away without agency at the age of 12. There was an open investigation done on a website that Hazel was featured on, and they found her on the West Coast in a home she should not have been in and where her abuse was taking place.

Legal action has been taken and all responsible parties are being charged. Hazel is now a ward of the state and I have been working very closely with DFCS so that I can work towards getting her into my care.

Unfortunately, I have been single since February and living in a camper working my butt off in a small town to try and make ends meet. In this economy it simply isn’t enough. I’m stretched thin financially with my current bills and could really use the help to get me over this hill. I have been transferring my entire life down here where I can afford it and have been diligently looking for higher paying jobs.

Once I’m in a better position I can finally get her out of Foster Care. If it were just me, I wouldn’t be asking for help, but time is of the essence for Hazel. She is 14 and needs to be with someone who loves her like I do.

I have already started the screening process, but In order for me to be qualified to get her the next step would be getting into proper housing and then I can get enrolled into assistance programs (I am unable to do that in my current living situation). 

All donations are going towards housing and things that Hazel will need!

Hazel just wants to be with her bio mom. No matter how far away and no matter how much time has passed, we have a connection that cannot be broken. She is absolutely amazing and deserves a great life!

I know I have a lot of friends and family that want to support me so I figured I’d quit being stubborn and provide an outlet to do so.

How ever you can help would mean everything to us, whether it’s donation, advice, leads, connections, prayers, or sharing.

I just want to bring my babygirl home so she can get through high school and become a successful adult.
