Hands in Hope is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Fairfax, Virginia, dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Reaching over 40,000+ people, supporting 350+ individuals, and spanning 150+ volunteers, our work has been recognized by local and regional media—including features in FFXnow, WTOP, Patch, and 97.1 WASH-FM Radio—as well as a Fairfax County government honor and recognition for community impact. We believe everyone deserves dignity, respect, and access to basic care, especially those who are too often overlooked. Our outreach goes beyond providing essentials. We distribute hygiene kits, clothing, and weather-appropriate supplies while also fostering human connection through handwritten notes, handmade items, and creative service projects.
As high school students, our funding is limited, but our commitment to serving others is strong. Donations directly support our efforts and allow us to continue providing meaningful and consistent care to individuals in need while expanding our reach across the community.
