Hands in Hope is a
nationwide student-led
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Through student-led chapters, service initiatives, and community partnerships
across the United States, we have reached over
50,000 people, supported more than
1,000 individuals, and engaged
200+ volunteers in meaningful service. Our work has been recognized by local and regional media, including features in
FFXnow, WTOP, Patch, and
97.1 WASH-FM Radio, as well as a
Fairfax County government honor for community impact. We believe everyone deserves dignity, respect, and access to basic care, especially those who are too often overlooked.
Our outreach extends beyond providing essential supplies. We distribute hygiene kits, clothing, and seasonal necessities while fostering human connection through handwritten notes, handmade items, and creative service projects that bring comfort, encouragement, and hope.
As high school students, our resources may be limited, but our commitment to service is not. Donations directly support our programs and help us expand our impact, strengthen our chapters, and continue serving communities nationwide.
