OUR STORY

When we first launched the Superheroes Fund during COVID-19, our community showed what true compassion looks like. While the world was standing six feet apart, we came together — as neighbors, as one team, as one village.

It all began with a call from a local senior who couldn’t afford both her medications and food that month. We told her, “Don’t worry — we’ve got you.” That single act of kindness inspired a movement that helped carry our community through one of its toughest times.

What makes this story even more special is how it started: just a little over six years ago, the doors of this pharmacy were closed. It was our community — you — who believed in reopening them. You turned an empty building into a place of hope, service, and connection. And that same spirit continues to drive everything we do today.

Since then, Skippack Pharmacy and our community’s superheroes have donated over $1,000,000 in supplies, vaccines, testing, and financial support to help those in need. Together, we’ve:

Helped over 100,000 people through vaccinations, testing, and community support

Donated 50,000+ pieces of PPE to first responders, hospitals, and community organizations

Mobilized 1,000+ community volunteers to serve others and deliver care

Supported countless families facing hardship with medications, food, and essentials

Today, the challenge looks different — but the need is just as real.

With a major salt shortage ahead of Sunday’s snowstorm, many neighbors haven’t been able to secure snow salt to keep their homes, walkways, and driveways safe. While Skippack Pharmacy isn’t a big-box store, when a crisis hits, we believe we have to stand up for our community.

We were able to secure 5 tons of snow salt for local community members who haven’t been able to find any. A huge thank-you to our amazing team member Jacquelyn and her husband, who generously donated their time and trucked the salt to Skippack from Delaware.

How it works (community pickup):

Bring your own bucket or bag (we don’t have containers available)

We do not have a scale, so we’re operating on the honor system

Donations can be made in-store (cash/credit) or right here online

WHERE THE DONATIONS GO

We are not doing this to make a profit. Whatever proceeds are collected from this community salt drive will be donated to So Much To Give Café to support their mission and help hire champions with disabilities for their incredible café.
