Help Braga Study Dance in Europe & Bring Art Back to Tunisia

Dancing is my way to survive, to speak, and to connect.

I’m Braga (Aymen Trabelsi), a 25-year-old dancer, choreographer, and educator from Tunisia.

In Tunisia, access to contemporary dance is rare. Opportunities are limited, funding is nearly nonexistent, and many young artists are told:
“Art isn’t a real career.”

I’ve found ways to keep moving — teaching, performing, sharing what I can — for myself and for those coming next.

This year, I’ve been accepted into three professional dance programs in Europe:

– SNDO – School for New Dance Development (Amsterdam)
– Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (Belgium)
– DART DSP – Professional Dance Program (Berlin)

These are once-in-a-lifetime chances — but I can’t do it alone.

To begin my studies and obtain a visa, I need to raise €10,000 to cover the first essential costs:
– Tuition fees at one of the programs (~ €8,000–€10,500)
– Visa, housing deposit, and basic setup fees

In Tunisia, average salaries are extremely low, and the euro exchange rate makes it even harder.
To give some perspective: I would need to work nearly three full years without spending a single dinar — just to pay one year of tuition.

That’s why international support is not just helpful — it’s essential.

Every single donation — even €5 — brings me closer.
If 500 people give €20, I can begin this journey.

But this isn’t just about me.
It’s about every dancer from the Global South who dreams but lacks support.

I want to return home with tools and knowledge to teach, create, and build spaces for expression in Tunisia.
I currently collaborate with amazing cultural organizations like L’Art Rue, B7L9, Massari, and AlBadil, facilitating dance workshops and community programs for youth.

In 2024, I was awarded the Dancing on the Edge scholarship, which allowed me to travel to Europe and discover these schools.
It made me believe: maybe this path is possible.

You can support by:
– Donating what you can
– Sharing this campaign with your community
– Sending encouragement or connecting me with potential allies

Every gesture matters. Truly.

With all my gratitude,
Braga / Aymen

This campaign is managed by Clémence, someone close to me who believes deeply in this journey.
Because GoFundMe isn’t available in Tunisia, she’s helping coordinate the fundraiser and will transfer all funds directly to me with full transparency.
