On Sunday, there was a large fire in the basement level at Zeaneth & Erin's home, leaving it severely damaged and unlivable for the next several months.
Thankfully, Zee and his Dad, Bob, made it out safely. Bob suffered a minor burn, but otherwise both are ok physically. The others were not home. Their pets were not as lucky. Their orange tabby cat, Leo, passed away. Another cat, Baby, was missing for a few days and has now been found and is doing good, while the other two cats, Evie & Ash, are still receiving care at the vet. Ash isn't able to walk and they don't know yet if it is temporary or permanent. Both dogs are safe, and they are working to find temporary housing for them.
Everything in the home has been affected by smoke, soot, or water. While insurance will help, there are immediate needs and ongoing expenses while they are displaced.
Right now, support will go toward veterinary care, boarding expenses, replacing basic pet items like collars, harnesses, leashes, and food bowls, as well as helping the family cover day to day costs like meals while staying in a hotel, clothing until insurance comes through, utilities, and other expenses that are currently unknown, but continue during this transition.
Any support, no matter the amount, would make a real difference as they try to get through these first difficult weeks. Your support is appreciated!
