Support Zaza Meshki's family after Shovi Landslide

Donation protected
August 8, Racha

Zaza Meshki and four members of his family went missing after the August 3 Landslide in Shovi, Georgia. Rescue teams are still searching.

The remains of his partner, Alina Polikovska has been found and identified on August 5th.

Later that month Zaza, Zaza & Cinta's eldest son and last week Alina's son, were found. Zaza and Cinta's youngest child has not been located yet. The search is still continuing.

Many people know Zaza from his active participation in the Georgian diaspora in the Netherlands (and earlier in the UK and Germany).

Cinta, mother of Zaza's children, and their daughter (a minor), are the surviving family members of this tragedy. Apart from the pain and uncertainty about their sons/brothers and father and many practical challenges, they are facing substantial costs in the upcoming months to deal with the aftermath of this tragedy.

Let's support them with the financial aspects of the uncertain period to come, which may be days, weeks or even months.

Costs such as transportation costs to be able to travel between Georgia and the Netherlands, housing, the funerals, legal and administrative costs due to the international nature of the families origins and place of residence, and funds for commemorative events and perhaps even a commemorative place/monument to honour the deceased.

This campaign is started by Tabitha van den Berg, friend of Zaza and Cinta, after consultation with the family. All proceeds will go directly to Cinta and her daughter to cover their direct and indirect costs in the upcoming period.
