Hi; my name is Zach Smith. I have participated in many remote medical endeavors, treating the medical needs of people with little to no access to medical care. Most of these short term projects have been self-funded while medicine and supplies have been donated by U.S. medical institutions.
I'm asking my friends and family to support me this year as I travel again to Southwest Nigeria, to a hospital that I helped design and manage since 2012. Upon This Rock Hospital (UTR), Ozu Abam was started with a dream of my dear friend Jame Emuekwe to bring heathcare to his home town.
In December-January I will be leading a team of MD's, RN's, Medics and Public Heath Workers to increase the capabilities of UTR Hospital by providing training, mentorship and implementation of a medical waste disposal system.

These funds will 100% directly be used for
-Airline travel $2,349.06
-Nigerian Transportation/Food $500.00
-Nigerian Visa $210.00
UTR is operated under a US 501c3, all donations are tax deductable and I will send you a letter from the organization.
I have a deep love for, and feel a responsibilty to, the town of Ozu Abam Nigeria and the staff at UTR Hospital. The Smith family is commited to this cause and we are so thankful for your support and your consideration in sending me.
