Support Centenarian Japanese Artist, Yuki, for Exhibit of her Chigiri-e Art Form
Centenarian Japanese artist, Yuki, wishes to present her chigiri-e artwork at the Memorial Library, Westfield, NJ. Please help support her so she can do this.
Chigiri-e is a unique Japanese art technique which originated more than one thousand (1,000) years ago.(learn more in Wikipedia etc.)
Yuki, an amazing 101-year-old woman, is actively engaged in this creative work with chigiri-e to this day. At the age of 75, she began this creative work and at the age of 101, she is still going strong. You can see some examples of her lovely artwork on this page.

When I learned about Yuki earlier this year, I thought it would be fantastic if Americans had the chance to learn about and enjoy this ancient technique through her artwork. Thus, this project was born.
I am here to ask for your help to raise funds for this project. The funds will cover the cost of shipping her work between the U.S. and Japan and the cost of framing them. She hopes to display about twenty (20) pieces. Total expenses are estimated at $3,000, the target amount for this fundraising.
If all goes according to plan, the first showing will take place during the months of February and March in 2025 at the Memorial Library in Westfield, NJ. I am in the process of securing additional venues for showing her artwork.
Your support for this exceptional woman and this ancient art form is greatly appreciated.
