On Sunday, March 15th, we closed our doors at Plum Island Beachcoma in Newbury, MA indefinitely. We are heartbroken that we are not able to serve our community right now. More importantly, we are deeply concerned for our team, their families, and the intricate system of people that make Plum Island Beachcoma a home away from home. As long as we have been in this industry, we have never come close to experiencing anything that threatens the health and stability of our beloved community the way this will.
We take pride in nourishing our community, our guests, our friends and our neighbors. Now we are calling on YOU to help us provide immediate relief to our team so that we can be there for you when the dust settles. Our top priority is keeping our employees and their families fed and well during a time of huge financial crisis. No doubt we have not yet begun to comprehend how far or for how long these unfortunate times will impact the restaurant and customer service industry. The future is uncertain and the livelihood of so many people hang in the balance.
