Fundraising for connect 4&Suzannes house respite for youths
I’m a 32-year-old HVAC engineer and proud father to a five-year-old son. Having been nearly three years sober after struggling with cocaine addiction, I’ve made it my mission to prove that no matter how low you’ve been, it’s possible to turn your life around and achieve things you never thought possible. Since getting sober, I’ve completed multiple marathons, an ultramarathon, and even made it to Everest Base Camp—each achievement a testament to the power of resilience and the human spirit. I’m now preparing to take part in the Marathon des Sables on April 6th 2025, one of the toughest endurance races in the world, as part of my journey to conquer even greater challenges, with my ultimate goal being to summit Mount Everest. Through every step of this journey, I aim to inspire others, especially those in recovery, to believe that with determination, resilience, and a positive mindset, anything is achievable
In addition to the physical challenges I’m taking on, I’m also dedicated to raising funds for a cause close to my heart. The funds I raise will support young people from socio economic disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those who have been affected by multi-generational trauma, including the devastating impacts of poverty and addiction. The goal is to create opportunities for individuals who, for various reasons, have found themselves in situations where further education or meaningful change seems out of reach. By raising €5,000, we aim to provide these young people with the support and resources they need to pursue their dreams, build brighter futures, and break free from the cycles that have held them back. This initiative is about giving them the chance to rewrite their stories and find a path to success, no matter where they’ve come from.
I am also raising €5000 to support the incredible work being done at Suzanne House, a place that provides compassionate, specialized care for children with complex medical needs. Suzanne House is more than just a respite service—it’s a true "home away from home" where families can take a well-deserved break, knowing their child is receiving the highest standard of care from a dedicated, nurse-led team. This service is essential, not only for the children but also for the families who rely on Suzanne House for a moment to recharge, supported by the knowledge that their child is safe and cared for with love.
