I have had an incredible year this year and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank those who have supported me while spreading that good fortune with a bit of Christmas magic.

This year I have chosen to support The Shona Project because empowering young girls isn’t just important, it’s personal. Growing up, I was the “misunderstood” girl who didn’t fit neatly into the right boxes at school, and I know now that there is no right box and most young people feel this way. Which is just so wrong.

The Shona Project shines a light into that exact space, helping girls feel seen, heard, and supported, especially when so many are quietly struggling.

Their research with Irish girls aged 12–19 found: 79% feel they are no good at all, 89% have worries and anxiety nobody knows about, and 70% say social media negatively affects their mental health.
