Support Yolanda and Marie’s Monthly Survival

Hi everyone, Marie and Yolanda Mosot here. This is our second fundraiser on GoFundMe. Our first can be found here.

We are starting a new one because we did not want to give the impression that we are doing better because it looks like we are close to meeting our goal. The reality is that we do not currently have the amount listed on the first GoFundMe page because every dollar we received in the past year was used immediately for bills, groceries, and medical supplies. We are still in the hole when it comes to our mortgage, and we are still pursuing avenues of relief, but the other monthly expenses that allow our home to remain livable must also be met.

Neither Mom nor I are able to work at the moment, so we need help covering utility bills, groceries, and medical supplies. Any little bit helps! As it is, we are already skipping and reducing the size of our meals, stretching Mom’s medical supplies beyond their recommended uses, and spending days avoiding faucets and unplugging everything but the AC to reduce our utility bills.

Please ignore the goal. We do not have a specific number in mind. Our only goal is to survive every month. We will keep this page open indefinitely for anyone who would like to help but can’t give through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. If you are able to give through one of those three apps, please contact us for our account information; they are quicker to transfer and require fewer fees.

We know we’ve been asking a lot for the past year and will unfortunately continue to do so for the foreseeable future, but our circumstances have not changed since last summer when we started the first fundraiser. We are still facing the very real possibility of homelessness, and for an elderly, disabled person like my mom Yolanda, that is very dangerous. Please keep this and the unique challenges of disabled people in mind as you share this page widely and frequently. We would not have made it this far without your generosity and hope to keep your support as we move forward. Please pray that our circumstances will change for the better.
