Help Us Transform Two Properties Into A Place of Life, Learning, & Hope
I am the sole Owner, Director, and Founder of yOCA Foundation and yOur Children’s Academy (dba Our Children’s Academy; “OCA”), and I am extremely excited to finally launch this fundraiser in support of the incredible growth of yOur Children’s Academy.
As part of its corporate purpose, yOCA Foundation is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our community by providing access to high-quality academic programs for families of diverse ethnicities. One of the ways we fulfill that mission is through yOur Children’s Academy educational programs.
Our Story & Our Vision
yOur Children’s Academy began operations on October 7, 2021, and is currently rated 4-Stars through the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education Quality Stars program. Today, yOur Children’s Academy serves children from newborn through 6 years of age. However, I believe God has called us to do more.
Through initiatives of yOCA Foundation, yOur Children’s Academy is seeking to purchase two properties located at 1011 and 1020 Monticello Court for the purpose of expanding our academic programs to include a quality Elementary (K-5) component. I believe these properties are part of that vision.
From Desolate To God's Garden of Eden
Property 1011 Monticello Court sits directly in front of yOur Children’s Academy to the left. I believe this property has been placed before us for a greater purpose and would be particularly advantageous to yOur Children’s Academy Kindergarten program. It was once associated with taking life, is dilapidated, an eyesore, and continues to attract loitering.
Its condition has been a concern for Our Academy and neighborhood. I have personally patrolled this area relentlessly and attended numerous City Council meetings to advocate for action regarding this abandoned property. While I understand that there is only so much the City Council can do, I believe in supernatural intervention.
What may appear to some as a neglected property, I see as an opportunity to transform what was once lifeless into a place where Our Children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Property 1020 Monticello Court sits directly in front of yOur Children’s Academy, immediately to the right of the existing campus. The property consists of a two-story building situated on three separate lots. It is currently being used as rental office space and, because of the age of the building, would require significant renovations to transform it into an educational facility.
I have spoken directly with the owner regarding the potential purchase of the building and the surrounding lots—including the lot in front of and the lot behind the property—with the sole purpose of expanding Our Academy. This unique connection creates an opportunity to thoughtfully integrate the property into the existing campus and establish a natural extension of the Academy’s educational environment making it an ideal location for the development of Our Children's Academy Elementary (Grades 1–5).
I believe this is more than an acquisition of two properties. It is an opportunity to walk by faith and transform a challenge in our community into a blessing for Our Children and the generations to come.
Will You Help Us Make This Transformation?
This is not simply a fundraising campaign for a building. This is bigger than a building. This is bigger than a school. This is an investment in transforming the future for Our Children and Our Community. It is an investment in families who value quality education.
It is an investment in education and in the educators who dedicate themselves to teaching, training, and nurturing Our Children. It is an investment in creating the right work environment—one equipped with the resources, support, and conditions educators need to effectively meet the diverse learning needs of Our Children from all backgrounds.
With faith, vision, hard work, and the generosity of people who believe in what is possible, we can transform these properties into a place where children will learn, families will find opportunity, educators will pour into young lives, and our community will experience meaningful change.
I believe God has already prepared the way. Now, I am asking you to help us walk boldly into what He has planned for yOCA Foundation and yOur Children’s Academy.
Will You Help Bring This Vision to Life?
Imagine what can happen when a property that once represented neglect—Property 1011—and a property that is ready for new life—Property 1020—are transformed into places where Our Children learn to read, discover their gifts, build confidence, develop practical skills, and dream boldly about their futures.
Imagine these properties becoming an extension of Our Children’s Academy Child Development and Preschool campus, creating a unified educational community within the same cul-de-sac.
Picture a Garden of Eden, where children can experience the joy of gardening and farming firsthand—learning where food comes from, developing responsibility, nurturing living things, and discovering the connection between nature and their own growth.
Imagine a dedicated Kindergarten Building, designed specifically to give our youngest learners a strong foundation as they transition into formal education.
Then envision a Grade 1–5 Building, providing a purposeful environment where children can continue building their literacy, mathematics, critical-thinking, creativity, character, and leadership skills as they grow.
Now, imagine a child beginning their educational journey at yOur Children’s Academy and progressing naturally from early childhood education into elementary school—without having to leave the familiar community, relationships, and educational environment that helped establish their foundation. We envision a community where parents can rest assured knowing their children have access to quality education from newborn through Grade 5—a safe and nurturing environment where children are seen, valued, taught, trained, and inspired to reach their God-given potential.
Together, we can create bold change in our community and increase the educational opportunities available to the children and families we are blessed to serve by creating intentional spaces where children are equipped to learn, empowered to discover who they are, and encouraged to imagine who they can become.
Every Dollar Does Count!
Every dollar counts. This is more than just a saying… it’s a reality. Your generous donation will directly contribute to the purchase, renovation, transformation, startup costs, and eventual operation of this property as a safe, inspiring, developmentally appropriate elementary school environment.
I believe it is God’s guidance to possess the land and transform these properties into God’s “Garden of Eden” (Ezekiel 36:33-36) as part of the yOur Children’s Academy Elementary School initiative. However, this vision is bigger than me.
As a sole, self-financed business owner, I recognize that I cannot accomplish this mission alone. I know that I need the support of people who believe in this vision—and, above all, divine support to accomplish what I believe God has planned for yOCA Foundation and yOur Children’s Academy. That is why I am asking you to join me in this work of faith.
Here Are Three Ways Your Generosity Can Make A Big Impact:
1. Acquire, Renovate & Revive the Properties
Your generosity will help provide the funds necessary to acquire, repair, renovate, and transform these properties—including the hiring of contracted workers and contractors needed to bring the vision to life.
2. Create a High-Quality K–Grade 5 Learning Environment
Funds will also support startup costs, overhead, the purchase of the materials, furniture, equipment, technology, accreditation, curriculums, and other resources necessary to implement and operate a quality Elementary (K-5) academic program that is developmentally appropriate, effective, inspiring, and engaging.
3. Invest in the Educators Who Will Educate Our Children
Your investment will help us secure quality educators who are committed to excellence in teaching, training, and nurturing the whole child. We believe that exceptional educators are essential to creating an exceptional learning environment. Your generosity will not only help us build the physical foundation for this vision—it will also help us provide salaries for the exceptional people who will bring it to life every day.
When we invest in our educators, we strengthen their ability to inspire, engage, and empower every child. And when educators are equipped to thrive, Our Children have greater opportunities to learn, grow, and reach their God-given potential.
Ongoing fundraising efforts will continue through yOCA Foundation to maintain yearly salaries for certified educators, high-quality personnel, support staff, and other recurring operational and overhead expenses associated with all of yOur Children's Academy educational programs for Newborns through Grade 5.
Will You Sow Into This Vision?
Every gift—large or small—is a step toward transforming these properties into God's “Garden of Eden” for yOur Children's Academy Elementary program.
Whether you are able to give $7, $70, $700, $7,000, or more, every dollar does make a difference and your contribution matters greatly.
Thank you for considering a donation, for believing in our mission, and for supporting the future of yOCA Foundation and yOur Children’s Academy in its Elementary (K-Grade 5) program initiatives.
With gratitude, faith, and great expectation, I am
Respectfully Yours,
