Ayuda a mi hermana a luchar contra el cáncer de mama metastásico

Mi nombre es Yulis, y escribo este mensaje con el corazón en la mano y una profunda urgencia. Mi hermana, Yelitce, fue diagnosticada recientemente con cáncer de mama avanzado que ya ha hecho metástasis en el hígado. Actualmente vive en Chile, donde, afortunadamente, los tratamientos médicos están cubiertos. Sin embargo, muchos gastos esenciales como la vivienda, el transporte, la comida, los medicamentos y una enfermera que la cuida en su casa no están cubiertos. Debido a la gravedad de su enfermedad, ella no puede trabajar y depende completamente de la ayuda externa para sobrellevar el día a día.

Yelitce es una madre dedicada, una mujer bondadosa y una de las personas más fuertes que conozco. Siempre ha dado lo mejor de sí a quienes la rodean, incluso en momentos difíciles. Ahora está enfrentando uno de los mayores desafíos de su vida, y lo hace lejos de sus seres queridos, incluidos sus hijos, quienes viven en otros países.

Nuestra familia ha sido separada por la crisis en Venezuela, y hoy estamos repartidos en cinco países. No veo a mi hermana desde hace 14 años, y no poder estar a su lado en este momento tan crítico ha sido profundamente doloroso. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible para apoyarla, pero la carga económica es simplemente demasiado grande para asumirla solos.

Aunque estamos inmensamente agradecidos de que sus tratamientos estén cubiertos, Yelitce necesita apoyo urgente para cubrir sus necesidades básicas y poder vivir con dignidad durante esta difícil etapa. Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, ayuda a aliviar su carga y le da la oportunidad de enfocarse en sanar y mantenerse fuerte.

Help My Sister Fight Metastatic Breast Cancer

My name is Yulis, and I’m writing this message with a heavy heart and deep urgency. My sister, Yelitce, was recently diagnosed with advanced breast cancer that has metastasized to her liver. She currently lives in Chile, where, fortunately, her medical treatments are covered. However, many essential living expenses including housing, transportation, food, medications, and the cost of a nurse who visits her at home are not covered. Because of her illness, she is unable to work and relies entirely on outside help to get through each day.

Yelitce is a devoted mother, a kind and generous person, and one of the strongest women I know. She has always gone out of her way to help others, even during difficult times. Now she is facing one of the greatest challenges of her life, and doing so far from her loved ones, including her children, who live in different countries.

Our family was separated by the crisis in Venezuela, and we are now spread across five different countries. I haven’t seen my sister in 14 years, and being unable to be by her side during this critical moment has been heartbreaking. We are doing everything we can to support her, but the financial burden is far too great for us to bear alone.

While we’re incredibly thankful that her cancer treatments are covered, she urgently needs support to cover her basic daily needs and live with dignity during this difficult time.
