Y Quynh Bdap, a Montagnard refugee in Thailand, stands as a beacon of courage and resilience. As a passionate human rights activist and co-founder of Montagnards Stand for Justice (MSFJ), he has tirelessly advocated for the persecuted Christian communities in Vietnam's Central Highlands. His unwavering commitment to justice led him to co-author critical reports on human rights violations, spotlighting the plight of his people through Human Rights Watch.
Y Quynh Bdap has been granted refugee status by the Office of the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR) and is waiting resettlement in a third country. However, Y Quynh was arrested by Thailand official in early June 2024. Today, Y Quynh Bdap finds himself imprisoned in Thailand, facing grave danger. The Vietnamese government, labeling him a terrorist for his peaceful advocacy, seeks Thailand’s cooperation to extradite him back to Vietnam. This unjust persecution threatens his very life and a serious breach of Human Rights.
We urgently call upon your compassion and support to cover his legal fees. Your prayers and generosity are vital in this desperate hours. Regardless of who you are, your help is deeply appreciated. Please stand with us and show that humanity transcends borders. Thank you!
