Hey y’all, my name is Kaleb, and I’m the artist behind Cecil Odell Music and The Sound of the West Virginia Line.

What started as a mission to honor all fifty-five West Virginia Sheriff’s Departments has grown to recognize first responders, working families, communities, and the people who serve across West Virginia.

Through this music, I have released songs honoring sheriffs, deputies, State Police, DNR, Forestry, D.O.T. employees, fire departments, security officers, 911 dispatchers, nurses, EMS personnel, and others.

This mission is personal to me. I grew up in a multigenerational law-enforcement family and have close friends throughout the first-responder community. The project comes from respect and a real connection to the people being recognized.

IMPORTANT FUNDRAISER INFORMATION

This campaign is organized and administered by Cecil Odell Music LLC, a registered West Virginia for-profit business. Cecil Odell Music LLC is not currently a 501(c)(3), and contributions made through this campaign are not represented as tax-deductible.

Money raised through this specific campaign is designated for future support of West Virginia first-responder departments and related public-safety needs. It is tracked separately from ordinary Cecil Odell Music business revenue and operating expenses.

Funds from this campaign will not be used for personal household expenses, Facebook advertising, songwriting, music production, merchandise development, general website expenses, or unrelated Cecil Odell Music operating costs.

Support may include documented department needs such as equipment, supplies, training-related expenses, fundraising assistance, emergency operational needs, or other uses approved with the receiving department.

As of June 2026, this GoFundMe has raised $675. That amount remains designated for first-responder support and is included in the current total being held for future department distributions.

I plan to begin distributing accumulated department-designated amounts in July 2026. Because this is still a new and modest effort, individual distributions may be small. Each completed distribution will be documented with the recipient, amount, and date.

Any GoFundMe transaction or processing fees affecting the amount actually received will also be reflected in the campaign records.

Cecil Odell Music is separately responsible for its own music production, advertising, merchandise, website, distribution, and ordinary business expenses. Those costs are not being paid from this campaign.

A separate nonprofit organization remains a future goal, but it has not yet been formed or approved as a 501(c)(3).
