Support World Refugee Day in Rochester
Dear Friend,
Every year on June 15th, we come together to mark World Refugee Day – a day dedicated to honoring the strength, courage, and resilience of millions of refugees. This special day not only acknowledges the immense challenges refugees face but also celebrates the rich cultural diversity they bring to our community here in Rochester. This year, the celebration will take place at the Rochester International Academy, 1 Edgerton Park, from 10 AM to 2 PM. It's a chance for us to show our solidarity and support for the refugee communities that enrich our city's cultural landscape.
Why Your Support is Vital
By contributing to our GoFundMe campaign, you’re not just donating—you’re actively participating in a community effort to uplift local artists, restaurateurs, and businesses. Your support directly contributes to the success of this event and helps reinforce the strong, inclusive community fabric of Rochester, a proud home to refugees from around the globe.
What Your Donation Supports
Local Artists and Performers: Showcasing traditional music, dance, and art from diverse cultures.
Ethnic Restaurants and Caterers: Offering a taste of home for our refugee communities and a culinary adventure for all attendees.
Community Engagement: Creating a platform for stories, experiences, and shared moments of joy and hope.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Your generosity ensures that World Refugee Day is not only a celebration but also a profound expression of our community’s commitment to being a place of welcome and safety.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a real difference. Together, we can make World Refugee Day a memorable event that honors our shared humanity and the contributions of refugees to our community.
