We are crowd funding for the staff members of World Cafe Live who have been fired for an ongoing protest against the new CEO of their establishment, Joe Callahan. Their hostile work environment started with immediate disrespect, mismanagement, the pushing out of the General Manager of 20+ years, and while prioritizing the activation of their virtual "Meta" world, some still fighting to get paid, Joe Callahan has retaliated with terminations, threats of arrests and federal charges. We are asking for financial support as our team finds their footing and continues their fight for labor rights, artist rights, and the priority of the Philadelphia community over a "Meta-verse".

Our next steps will be getting the Owner of the building, University of Penn, to hear us LOUD and CLEAR that we are a strong, resilient community and the union workers deserve to outlive Joe Callahan in that building. Join us on March 2nd, City Hall at 10am there will be an Eviction Trial, Penn VS Joe. Please come and show your continuous love and support for us.
