I'm part of a student-led organization called Beyond the Cycle, which hopes to deliver period products to communities in need. 100% of funds raised go towards buying pads and tampons that will stock the shelves of Metrocrest Services food pantry in Carrollton, TX. Over 6,000 families visit the pantry every month, but there is an extremely limited supply of feminine hygiene products due to high costs and low availability.

When women lack access to menstrual products, they can miss school, work, or other critical daily activities due to embarrassment or discomfort. Sadly, those who lack access to feminine hygiene products often use makeshift alternatives like toilet paper, socks, or newspaper. They also stretch the product usage longer than recommended, risking infection or TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome), and general poor hygiene. We believe that no woman ever deserves to go through these conditions.

With $2,750, we plan on supplying around 4,800 pads per month from July to December.
