Support with Green Card Application
Donation protected
My name is Hanifa Nakiryowa and I am reaching out for support with fees for applying for green cards for my two kids and me.
I came to the United States in 2015 for facial reconstruction surgeries from Uganda after surviving a brutal acid attack in 2011, which left me completely maimed.
At the end of 2015, I went back to Uganda to rescue my children. I returned to the United States to start graduate school to lay a foundation to create a new life here. I filed for asylum in 2016 and waited until June 2021, when it was finally granted to us after navigating through different challenges.
I am now working with a lawyer to file for our green cards so we can become permanent residents and continue our journey to making America our home. Unfortunately, the current crisis has had a huge financial toll on me as a single mom with no supplemental income.
I am kindly appealing to you to help me raise the much-needed funds to pay the application filing fees ($3200 for all three applications), the legal fees ($1650) and associated gofundme fees.
Having the green card will enable me to continue lawfully living and working in the United States to continue taking care of my children and continue to do the work I do for the community.
