I want to tell you about a kind, humble man I know. He was always playing baseball or basketball when he was little. Then, when he was 11 years old, he came down with type 1 diabetes. It was devastating for his family but not for him. Things would happen medically, or he would have a bad day with his diabetes, but he always stayed positive. Even at a young age, he would tell his mom, "It will be ok." I'm his mom.

My son's name is Will. Throughout his life, it was not easy, but he would always get through it every time in a positive manner. He played basketball in high school and college. When he got out of college, he took jobs so he could help people. He always wants to help people; even now, he is a counselor at his job helping people. He has a wife and two children under the age of 5 years old that he adores and loves so much.

He is a below-the-knee amputee and he needs a kidney transplant. They recently moved him up the list, and he will be having a transplant soon. He still works and goes to dialysis 3x a week, 4 hours each time. He works late hours making up time that he lost due to all his medical appointments. I am doing a GoFundMe so it will be a little easier for him financially before and after the transplant.

After the transplant, he will lose more wages, and he will need to travel to doctor appointments. He will not be able to go back to work until he recovers.

With your help, it will help my son so much. Any donations not used after his recovery will be donated to the Kidney Foundation to help other people.
