My name is Willow. In December 2023, I took my 2-year-old daughter Fern and fled an abusive marriage. With the support and love of friends, I was able to pick up a job and begin a new life.

After some long months of waiting for the court, I was granted a protective order and given 6 weeks to find a lawyer to decide the custody of my daughter. I have been waiting for legal help through Utah Legal Services, and I am not making enough to cover an attorney without them.

I realized I need to step out of my shell and accept that I will need more help on this journey to protect Fern.

So here I am asking for the kindness of the world to help lift my daughter and me through the courts. I have no idea how much the final amount will come to, and I am saving what I can. But if you feel so drawn, I would gratefully accept your help to cover the costs of an attorney.
