Hello, this GoFundMe is for William James Ryan. A few years ago he had oral mouth cancer and due to that cancer he lost his tongue, teeth, part of his jaw, and had to have a feeding tube and trachea put in his throat to help him breathe. The cancer was a stage 4 and basically a huge tumor in, on, and under his tongue, which was starting to spread to part of his jaw and if he did not have the surgery, he would have died. Since then he has had four other surgeries and has had to use different things to make him more comfortable and help him get better as much as possible. He uses napkins and other paper products for his mouth, because saliva and mucus builds up in his mouth. He found out recently that he will need another surgery soon because of the radiation therapy, the rest of his jaw has an infection. We, his family have given him different types of antibiotics, but they can only do so much. Sometime next month hopefully, he will get a fifth surgery to try to stop this infection, but the surgery will leave him without the rest of his jaw and chin. the doctors told us that if he does not have this surgery, he will basically die. The problem is though we spend a lot of money for the supplies he needs and with this surgery, he will definitely need more supplies to make him comfortable and help him recover from it.
