Support Whistleblowers of Prevention Point Philly
Donation protected
In the past few months, three former Prevention Point Philadelphia (PPP) workers, two of whom are Black trans women, have spoken out against the conditions and abuse at PPP. In articles published in Billy Penn and The Philadelphia Inquirer, the three women have detailed how Prevention Point Philadelphia has fostered a culture of abuse, transmisogyny, racism, and rape culture that impacts staff and clients at the facility. In response, leadership at PPP has publicly gaslit survivors and denied any wrongdoing.
Philadelphia Red Umbrella Alliance, SOL Collective, and Project SAFE Philadelphia are coming together to support the needs of these survivors. The complete statement and demands can be read here. Until the administration of PPP chooses to listen to the needs and demands of survivors and their supporters, we as a community have a responsibility to support them where PPP has not.
Monies gathered on this GoFundMe will be distributed to the three survivors who have spoken up. Monies gathered will go towards paying for their support, such as rent, food, therapy, and other needs.
