Support Whatcom migrant & farmworking families

Vamos is supporting this GoFundMe in recognition of the struggles of families in our community. Vamos serves many migrant and farmworking families. Some Vamos middle school and high school aged participants have become unable to participate in Vamos programs because they have no choice but to help their mothers by working or looking for work. The mothers of these students are out of work because of the many difficulties of the pandemic and are the sole income providers for their families. These families are also ineligible to receive stimulus checks or other forms of aid because of immigration statuses in their families. As many families in Whatcom County are receiving stimulus funding at this time, please think of the essential farmworker families that are struggling to make ends meet, and are not receiving financial support. Please support them by contributing to this GoFundMe to help the families afford rent and food, so that their children can participate in Vamos instead of trying to find work to pay for rent and groceries.
