Hi my name is Alex and I am looking at raising a bit of money for Westdenes Care Home, Hull.

My nanna, Barbara had suffered with Dementia for around 4 years. My nanna suffered numerous falls and became dependent on carers support in her home. The last year my nanna deteriorated, she was in and out of hospital. The care she received wasn’t great.

Until she went into Westdenes Care Home. The staff at Westdenes treat my nanna like she was a family member of theirs. They loved her and showed her the care she truly deserved. It’s hard to find a care home who truly dote on their residents. The staff members are so welcoming and friendly, they make you feel confident and reassured about the care your family member is receiving.

On 8th April 2025 my sweet little nanna closed her eyes for the final time and headed on her journey to those pearly gates. Her funeral is on the 30th April, we are asking for family flowers only. However we are asking for donations towards Westdenes Care Home. Any donations are welcome, no matter how big or small every penny counts. Please if you could donate that would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
