My name is Kristen and I am trying to help my brother Brandon, sister-in-law Wendy, and their boys raise money for a minivan.

Wendy was in a terrible car accident on Sunday afternoon that totaled their family's minivan, their only vehicle. Someone blew through an intersection and T-boned her. The van rolled several times, finally landing upside down in a ditch. Thankfully, Wendy was the only one in the van. The hospital says she has no broken bones, but we are almost certain she does because she can't turn her head at all, can't raise her arm, can't get up and down on her own, or shower on her own.

They found out today the driver that hit her has no insurance; it lapsed in September. They have contacted their own insurance company to see if they can help. There is no guarantee it will cover, and even if it covers the value of their van, it was old and not worth very much.

Brandon works full-time during the week, and Wendy works on weekends to be at home during the week for the kids. They are good people that have fallen on a really hard time. Brandon will likely be out of work some until Wendy is able to get around on her own again, plus they need a new car.

I'm not asking for enough for them to be able to buy a brand new van, but enough to get them something dependable. Something that won't break down on them a week after they buy it.
