My name is Lynn McCollister, and I am trying to raise money for my brother, Wayne Lamar Davis Sr. His story started when he was 12 years old. He was riding with his friend on a dirt bike and was struck by a car. He had a severe brain injury that requires a shunt in his brain. This is something that he will live with for his entire life.

Moving forward, he worked all his adult life, supporting his children. Then, in his 30s, he was told he had a brain aneurysm. He had a total of 5 brain surgeries in Atlanta, and he continued to work to support his children. Back in 2022, he was robbed and beaten at a laundromat in Pelham, GA. He was out of work for nearly 6 months. He went back to work and worked until his job let him go because he was falling and couldn't walk right. Wayne tried to get by, but with no money, he finally had to file for disability. Disability takes time, and even with all of his health issues and brain injuries, he is waiting for the system to approve him.

He has been without food and lived in his truck until it finally blew the motor. After I depleted all of my money, my cousin raised some money to rent him a place for a while. The money that was raised is running out, and he is going to be homeless again. He cannot walk without a walker, and shelters require you to leave every day and are not open daily. He needs help so he can stay in his home until disability kicks in. I ask that if you can help, please do; no amount is too small. If you can't financially, then please share this. You never know who can help. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as this has been an ongoing battle. I am linking the previous news article about his attack. Again, anything helps to keep a roof over his head until his disability starts.
Thank you!
