My name is Jaye Walker, and I am making this account for my mum, Denise Walker.

Our dad passed away on the 3rd of July 2022 after losing a 10-month battle with prostate cancer just a few weeks before his 70th birthday. The loss is devasting for mum as they were together for 50 years. Mum was unable to work as of 25 years ago, so Dad had been the sole provider for the family of 5 kids, then raising 2 grandchildren after the sudden death of my sister 11 years ago.

Dad was working 2 jobs while receiving treatment to keep paying the medical costs, home loan and other bills. He eventually became too sick and had to stop working. The bills started compiling, and my parents began to fall behind on payments. Then the added cost of the funeral as well.

Mum is unable to work and is too young for the pension. If she cannot make the home loan repayments, she will lose the house. So any donation to assist with the home loan expense and the funeral would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone who knew dad, Foxy, as he was known to so many, knew he was always the first person to put his hand up to help someone in need but was never one to ask for help. So now we’re asking for your help to keep mum in the house she and dad planned to retire in.
