Support Walter Dircks in Catastrophic Crisis

Donation protected

This is a fundraiser for someone near and dear to us, who is a long-time Pilot Catastrophe Adjuster, Walter Dircks. He is stranded on Black Rock Mountain, which is 2 miles from Chimney Rock that was washed away. There are no accessible roads to reach Walter and his wife; mudslides and downed trees have proven there is no way in or out. They risk sinkholes, no power, no gas to cut their way out, and food is scarce. Walter had purchased Starlink prior to be able to work from home; it’s been his only brief moments of communication when he can plug it into his truck, as they are conserving as much as they can with no solution in sight. Water is scarce and so is food. He has tree damage to his roof, other structures, and fence. There is no immediate help in sight. I’m pleading with those I know who have a heart; this has been a catastrophe of disastrous proportions, not just for Walter and family but the entire community of Chimney Rock. As an adjuster this is the time we would all be working, currently Walter is losing income due to the circumstances. Please let’s show our commitment to our fellow adjuster who is missed and appreciated in this time of need.
