At Western Albemarle High School (WAHS), students and allies are working together to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone, especially those who may feel marginalized. We strive to create safe spaces where all students can feel supported and valued.

Recently, some members of our school community have expressed concern over events and conversations that have made students feel unwelcome or unsafe. These moments have highlighted the importance of standing together in kindness and respect.

As a peaceful and positive response, we are seeking community support to fund student togetherness events. Funds may go towards the payment of t-shirts, wristbands or other gear that would serve as a quiet but powerful symbol of unity, inclusion, and care. Funds may also go towards food/food trucks for WAHS student events focused on togetherness in the community.
