From Pain to Purpose: Help VONRIC Heal and Rise Through Music

Hi, my name is VONRIC.

When I was a child, I was involved in a devastating fire that left me severely burned—especially on my head. The physical scars tell only part of the story. What many don’t see is the long-term nerve damage and head injury I’ve lived with ever since. These complications have affected my ability to work and live normally. Some days are tougher than others, but by GOD’s grace, I keep pushing forward.

Living with this condition has been a journey of both physical and emotional battles. It’s not easy waking up with pain, fatigue, and the frustration of feeling limited. But even in all that, I’ve held on to two things: hope and a dream.

I dream of becoming a DJ—not just someone who plays music, but someone who creates experiences, tells stories through sound, and uplifts people from all walks of life. Music has always been my therapy and safe space. I want to turn that passion into a career—climbing the ranks, honing my craft, and one day becoming a world-renowned musical genius.

Separately, I’m also in urgent need of dental treatment. Years of complications and limited access to care have left me with severe dental issues that affect my ability to eat, speak clearly, and smile without shame. This part of my journey is about healing, restoring dignity, and finally being able to hold my head up without hiding my smile.

This fundraiser is to help me move forward in both areas:

Urgent dental work to ease pain and rebuild my confidence

Musical journey: Equipment, training, and mentorship to help me become the DJ I’m destined to be
