We are Kimia Jowharchi and Osman Amiri, Miramonte High School juniors and founders of Voices of Nour, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the SWANA (Southwest Asia North Africa) community in the Bay Area. The goal of our foundation is to unite the SWANA diaspora in our region through volunteering, promoting leadership, and voicing global issues. As our official launch event, we are putting together a back-to-school backpack assembly gathering with all of the essential supplies for a successful school year. These backpack kits will be given to children of refugee and immigrant families throughout the Bay. We are kindly asking for any donation, big or small, to help make this happen.
