Family and friends,
I’m reaching out to ask for support for my niece Violet, JC, and their three children—Nala, Keyair, and Carmelo—who recently experienced a devastating fire that has turned their lives upside down.
The fire started in the backyard/balcony area of their townhome/condo and spread quickly, forcing over 30 residents to evacuate. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, Violet and her family lost nearly everything they owned. Unfortunately, they did not have renters insurance, so none of their personal belongings are covered.
Right now, Violet, JC, and the kids are temporarily staying with her parents. Mary her mother is working tirelessly to help coordinate the funds including housing and making sure the children have the basic necessities they need during this incredibly difficult time. The current living situation is not a long-term solution, and they are facing the emotional and financial challenge of starting over—finding stable housing, replacing clothing, school supplies, computers for the children’s homeschool program, furniture, and everyday essentials.
We are asking for help to support this family as they work toward rebuilding their lives. Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward:
• Temporary and long-term housing needs
• Clothing, shoes, and essentials for the children
• Household items and basic furnishings
• School and daily necessities
If you’re unable to donate, we ask that you please share this post to help us reach others who may be able to help.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this time. The family is deeply grateful for the love and support being shown to Violet, JC, and the kids as they navigate this unexpected hardship.
With gratitude,
Claudia Sorensen
