Support Vinny's Eagle Scout Project for Bright Academy

My name is Vinny Petronella. I am a Life Scout in Troop 51. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project to support Bright Academy.

Bright Academy is an elementary school within the Frisco Independent School District. Bright Academy's mission is to empower our community to become compassionate, lifelong learners who achieve excellence to create a better world. As a former student and current mentor for the last 5 years, Bright Academy has given so much to me that I wanted to give back to them for my Eagle Project.

For my project I will be constructing Sensory Boards that will be utilized in the Resource classroom to help with students who might struggle with anxiety, ADHD, autism, etc. that would benefit from having a tool to help calm them down. Sensory boards can be crucial for students as they provide a structured and controlled environment for sensory exploration, helping regulate and integrate sensory stimuli. These boards can enhance sensory processing skills, improve focus, and contribute to overall well-being in individuals with autism, anxiety and ADHD.

My goal is to raise $1,200 for the materials needed to build the sensory boards. Additional funds raised will go toward extra sensory items to accompany the board for student use.
