Support Vini’s Eagle Project
My name is Vini, and I’m a Life Scout from Troop 528. I’m currently working on my Eagle Project to achieve Eagle rank. My project consists of purchasing state-of-the-art, high tech equipment that paralyzes a law enforcement officer’s limb using remote controlled electricity. This device helps simulate the effects of being shot, which would greatly enhance training for Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies. There is nothing else like it currently that can mimic being shot and having an arm or leg completely disabled, which is important because when law enforcement officers are shot, they must continue to “stay in the fight.” In other words, while they are training in their simulation room and confronting bad guys and active shooters, they wear this device and can actually feel the impact of having a part of their body disabled, and push through that to eliminate the threat. When I raise enough money to buy this device, I will also participate in school shooting training scenarios to help improve the safety of schools and students. There is nothing more important than the safety of our schoolchildren, and having this device will help prepare law enforcement officers in the event of a horrific scenario. I am passionate about this device because I want all our law enforcement officers to go home at the end of each shift and live long, happy lives with their families. I would greatly appreciate your support – by supporting my mission, you are helping save precious lives in our wonderful county.
