Victoria Irma Zardoya was born at St. Luke's Hospital in New York City on July 12, 2006, and grew up in Montville, New Jersey alongside her twin sister, Alexandra. From her earliest days at St. Pius Preschool, through Cedar Hill Elementary, Peck, and Morristown Beard, Victoria brought joy everywhere she went. She had a light that was impossible to ignore, a contagious laugh, an adventurous spirit, and a heart that made everyone around her feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Whether you knew her for years or only crossed paths with her once, she had a way of leaving a lasting impression. Victoria continued her journey at the University of Tampa, where she was only entering her junior year, pursuing a degree in Finance. She had just returned from an internship in Portugal, embracing every opportunity to see more of the world and chase the future she worked so hard to build. She was moving out of her apartment to prepare to go abroad for the fall semester, always eager for her next adventure. Her future was incredibly bright, and she approached life with a rare combination of ambition, kindness, and genuine compassion.
On what should have been just another day exploring somewhere new, Victoria's life was tragically cut short after a devastating fall while visiting the historic ruins at Fort Dade on Egmont Key. She was in Tampa visiting friends and preparing for her next chapter before the accident occurred. She was airlifted to HCA Blake Trauma Center, where her family and friends stayed by her side as an extraordinary team of doctors and nurses did everything they could to try and save her. Despite their tireless efforts, Victoria's injuries were too severe, and her family was forced to say goodbye far sooner than anyone could have imagined.
Even in the face of unimaginable tragedy, Victoria's generosity continued. Through her decision to become an organ donor, she gave the ultimate gift of life, offering hope to others during her family's darkest moment. That selfless choice speaks so beautifully to the kind of person she was, someone whose love and compassion extended far beyond herself.
In honor of Victoria's beautiful life and the incredible compassion she showed every day, we are raising funds for a charity that reflects the kindness and love she shared with the world. This charity will be chosen by her twin sister, Alexandra. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help continue her legacy by making a difference in the lives of others. Thank you for helping us honor Victoria's memory and keep her light shining through acts of generosity.
Your support, your prayers, and your generosity will help ensure that Victoria's beautiful legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the extraordinary gift she gave to others.
