Our family is urgently seeking support after a horrific act of domestic violence in Western NSW that has left a young mother with critical, life-altering injuries.
On Sunday, 26-year-old Victoria was found critically injured after a brutal and traumatic attack while inside a vehicle with her young children. She was airlifted to hospital, where she remains in serious but stable condition.
We would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank the police, local hospital staff, emergency responders, and our incredible community, whose swift action, care, and compassion have been nothing short of extraordinary during this devastating time.
Victoria’s injuries are extensive and life-altering. She suffered over 20 machete stab wounds, along with three broken ribs, punctured lung, and significant facial injuries. Doctors have also identified suspected nerve damage affecting her feet, which may have long-term impacts on her mobility.
Beyond the physical injuries, Victoria is now facing severe psychological trauma from this devastating attack. The emotional toll of what she has endured will take immense time, care, and support to heal.
She has a long road ahead. Victoria is expected to undergo multiple surgeries as part of her recovery, followed by ongoing medical treatment, rehabilitation, and trauma support.
Victoria is a devoted single mother to her two beautiful children, aged 2 and 4, who absolutely adore her. In an instant, their world has been turned upside down. Right now, their family is focused on ensuring they are safe, supported, and surrounded by love as they navigate this unimaginable time.
We are raising funds to help ease the overwhelming burden and give Victoria and her children the chance to rebuild their lives. Donations will go directly toward:
• Medical and recovery-related expenses
• Emergency accommodation and daily living costs
• Ongoing care and support for her children
• Relocation costs to move her children to a safer environment
• Legal and safety needs as they move forward
Martin Ridge is the beneficiary, he is Victoria's father and will manage the funds for Victoria and her children while she is in hospital.
No mother or child should ever have to endure such violence.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping this family find stability, safety, and hope again.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this heartbreaking time.
