Help Vic and her family Rebuild After Devastating House Fire

On the evening of Sunday, March 16, a devastating fire completely destroyed the home of our beloved co-worker and friend, Victoria. Their two-story house was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived. Despite the heroic efforts of over 50 first responders from neighboring towns, the home is now considered a total loss.

Many of you know Vic as the smiling face of our café at An Unlikely Story — the heart and soul behind the delicious soups, sandwiches, and daily specials. She leads our incredible kitchen and café staff with kindness, creativity, and a sense of humor that brightens even the busiest days. She’s also occasionally our bartender at events and trivia nights, serving not just drinks but joy and connection.

Now, Vic and her family are facing the unimaginable. They’ve lost everything — their home, treasured family heirlooms, and, sadly, their cherished pets. As they begin the long, difficult journey of rebuilding their lives, we want to rally around them and offer the support they so deeply deserve.

This GoFundMe has been created by our staff to help Vic and her family with immediate needs such as housing, clothing, food, and eventually rebuilding. Every dollar donated goes directly to them and will make a real difference.
