Support Vicki – Our Beloved Custodian Needs Our Help!
Vicki is more than just a custodian in our neurobiology department—she is the heart of our community. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication brighten the days of everyone she encounters.
Recently, while working, Vicki slipped on black ice and broke her elbow. Despite the pain, she continued to push through her shifts because she had no other choice. She only received one paid day off, and any additional time she takes for medical appointments comes out of her personal leave. Given the physically demanding nature of her job, this injury has made it incredibly difficult for her to keep up—but without financial support, she has no option but to keep showing up.
Vicki is struggling, and now it’s our turn to show up for her. If you have the means, please consider donating to help ease her financial burden during this challenging time. Every little bit counts and will go directly toward medical expenses, lost wages, and any other support she needs while she recovers.
If you’re not in a position to donate, please support Vicki with your kind words and by picking up after yourself as much as possible while in the BPRB to make her work a little easier.
Let’s rally around Vicki the way she has always been there for us. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
