Hello, this GoFundMe is for our close family, friend, Vianey, who is a single, hard-working mother. She visited with our extended family yesterday and told us that the apartment she has lived in for 13 years was recently sold. She has raised her children in this home; one in high school and the youngest in jr. high school, and she is trying to stay in the same district in order to keep their lives as stable as possible and is really finding it difficult to even find a place to live at all at the moment.
As soon as the escrow closed, she was given notice to be out by January 31st, and now has been given an extension to February 28th to find a new home for herself and her children. The new owners want to remodel the units and re-rent for a higher rental rate.
Vianey is doing everything she can to keep her son, Ethan, and daughter Zoe in the same school district. Ethan is a Senior at his high school and is very active in sports. Today he is trying out for the baseball team. Zoe is in 8th grade and loves her school and friends.
Vianey asked the new owners if she could stay until June, so Ethan and Zoe could finish the school year at the same schools, but her request was denied.
She is looking for another apartment to live in, but is finding it very hard to afford one in the area of Huntington Beach. Possibly a one-bedroom in another area nearby for 3 people could work—she is still looking. Vianey told us that she thought about living in her car, but that children need a home. Of course, we do not want her to be living in her car.
The requirements to even rent an apartment in the area are very difficult to achieve, so she is in urgent need to come up with these requirements and unexpected moving expenses very quickly under these circumstances.
Vianey has worked very hard and consistently for many years in our communities, cleaning houses. She will be able to meet her monthly rent but is finding it very hard to come up with the other expenses associated with moving, especially on her own, so quickly, and in this particularly inflated housing environment.
In 2024, she finished the process of becoming a U.S. Citizen, a difficult process that she persevered through. She is the sweetest and most giving person and is so deserving of some help.
Anything helps! Please join us in helping her overcome this difficult time. All donations will go towards her expenses of getting their new apartment in the district, especially the move-in requirements/fees, and unexpected moving expenses, which she has not had time to plan or save for. This will provide her a way to keep her children stable in their schools and allow Vianey to stay close to where her housekeeping clients are located in Orange County, so she can continue to support her family.
Thank you for your support!
Vianey worked very hard to become a United States citizen at the end of 2024.
