Hello, my name is Nancy Trujillo. I’m writing this on behalf of my sister Vanessa Trujillo. My nephew Jayden Vaquero was born with multiple disabilities which recently led to lung complications due to aspiration pneumonias. On May 17th, he was admitted to Yale New Haven Hospital due to lack of oxygen to his body, he miraculously surpassed two cardiac arrests and was put on ECMO to support his heart and lungs. These past weeks have been very hard for my sister and family, with her not only being a supportive and outstanding mother for Jayden but also for her 3 other children the youngest being 5 years old. The rapid decline of Jayden’s health has led to my sister being at his bedside 24/7. We don’t have any time frame as to how long this recovery may take. Those that know my sister, know how much of a great, admirable & strong mother she has been for her kids.
